The Effects of  Panic Attacks, Anxiety and Phobia’s

The effects of Panic Attacks and/ or Anxiety on a person are often debilitating, overwhelming, and sometimes outright terrifying.

isolated, misunderstood and alone, in dealing with the problem.

Similarly, an individual who has a Phobia of a given object, environment or situation,
will  find themselves virtually instantaneously swept up, and flushed with feelings of
anxiety, bordering on overwhelm, materialising  as sweaty palms, elevated pulse
rate, quickened breathing, accompanied by feelings of Panic and Anxiety, in the presence of, or sometimes just by the suggestion of, the object of their Phobia.

It would be fair to say that Anxiety and/or Panic Attacks as well as Phobias are greatly
misunderstood in many circles. They both arise as an inbuilt protection mechanism of the unconscious mind, doing it’s job, and performing one of it’s primary functions, of ensuring the protection and survival of it’s owner. In the case of ALL PHOBIA’S and MOST ANXIETY & PANIC ATTACKS, the unconscious mind is simply “OVERPROTECTING”.  Left untreated, most forms of Anxiety and Phobias will generally worsen over time.

The current thinking in traditional mental health services for treating anxiety and its
many constituent expressions consists of a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy
(commonly known as CBT), and mood-altering medications that include such infamous names as;

  • Klonopin
  • Paxil
  • Prozac

  • Zoloft

Many of these drugs are in a class of medications known as benodiazepines, which can be both mentally and physically addictive. If you’ve personally been on any of these medications for any length of time, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Trying to quit these drugs when you’ve had enough of them is a nightmare experience for most. Just ask anybody who’s tried.

To quit these drugs, you must do it very carefully, under the constant supervision of an attending physician, and then only over a period of weeks or months. Breaking free from these drugs comes at a knee-crawl pace. If these medications are stopped too quickly, the physical withdrawal symptoms can, in fact, mimic the very same emotional problems the person had to begin with (anxiety, physical symptoms, etc.) before they starting taking the meds in the first place.

What do you suppose is the purpose of medication in the first place? Well, of course,
to help you change your state – to help you feel better.

But did you know that it’s easy to change your state simply by changing how you
perceive the things you used to fear? (HINT: That’s EXACTLY what we’ll be teaching
you to do here, simply by guiding you through the process of learning to think
differently about whatever it is you used to fear.)

The Limitations of using  Standard
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy For Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Phobias

Anxiety is not a consciously (or rationally) created activity, is it?

You didn’t consciously choose to have your anxiety problem, did you? Of course not! So how can anyone expect that by simply consciously thinking “the right way” about it
when faced with  the situation that triggers your anxiety, you’ll suddenly be
anxiety-free?

Nope. It doesn’t work that way. You know it and I know it.

And, of course, therein lies the problem with conventional Cognitive-Behavioural
Therapy. You have to THINK about it. But isn’t it true that by the time you’re aware of
your anxious feelings, it’s already too late to “think” your way out of it? You’re
already sliding down the slippery slope!

Why is that? Why does your anxiety come upon you so quick, without any time to consciously choose an alternative? It’s simple. You see, clinical levels of anxiety are almost totally the result of subconsciously driven processes. That’s part of the reason your problem feels like it’s so out of control. Trying to control a subconsciously driven problem
through conscious means (i.e. talk therapy) is pretty futile. It’s like trying to put a
square peg, in a round hole.

Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Phobias are Subconsciously Driven Responses
And Must Be Addressed  On That Level.

 Think of it this way. Some part of you probably knows very well that your Anxiety or
Phobia is irrational, and doesn’t really make any logical sense.In fact, on some
level, you probably actually realise that it’s not “that thing out there” that makes
you feel fearful, scared, anxious, or any way at all. It’s your individual perception
of what’s going on out there that determines your seemingly automatic feelings about
it.

That explains why you have this reaction, while others are able to be in that situation
or context all day long, feeling just fine about it. They literally perceive that
object or situation differently than you do. And they don’t have to try to feel
fine about it, do they? Nope. They just do. Seemingly easily and automatically.

And here’s the good news: Our program involves using NLP, EFT and Hypnosis to change

You see, whenever you change your perception of anything, it doesn’t matter what
it is. Whether it’s a present moment object, a past memory, or a fearful imagining

 Well, let me use an interesting analogy. Think of your brain as a jukebox.
Inside a jukebox, you have a lot of different records. If you push this button, that
record plays very reliably, again and again and again. If you push a different
button, a different record plays reliably, again and again and again. It’s a great
example of an automatic, pre-programed stimulus-response association.

Well, what IS a record? A record is literally a recording of something that happened
a long time ago.

But it’s not the ORIGINAL event, is it? It’s just a RECORD of that event, which when you push the right “trigger” buttons, sounds just like the original even and may even cause you to feel the same exact way you might have felt when the original event was taking place.

How Does This Relate To Your Challenges With Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Phobias?

Consider that the only way your brain could know how to feel now  about various
situations, contexts or things is by virtue of your past experiences in those
situations or contexts.

 How does your brain know what happened in the past?

Well, the only way it could know, is by virtue of your memories ó your own personal mental “records” of things that happened in the past. But, just like a musical record, a memory is not the real event, it’s just a mental record of the event, which when you play that back, can cause you to feel exactly the same way you felt when the original event happened.
